Hello, comiXologists!

This week we’re officially celebrating the one-year anniversary of Comics by comiXology, our digital comics platform: On the Web, on the iPhone and iPad. It’s the perfect time to lift the curtains a bit on comiXology and the people who make that happen with this “corporate” blog. (I put corporate in quotes, because there’s not a whole lot that is standard corporate about us.)

To commemorate the occasion, comiXology will be giving fans their own digital anniversary presents. Beginning Wednesday August 18th at 12am eastern, fans may login to Comics by comiXology on the Web or from a mobile device to receive 20-50% off top-rated comics for 48 hours. The sale continues on the Comics by comiXology mobile app on Thursday, August 19th where users will have access to most $1.99 comics for half-off for 24 hours. The sale ends on the Web and the mobile app at 11:59pm Thursday.

We’re also giving away one iPad to a purchaser on comics.comixology.com during the sale (see official rules here, no purchase necessary).
