Yesterday brought the arrival of the new and approved Comics by comiXology iOS app! Designed with improved features based on user feedback and months of testing. The all-new comics by comiXology 3.0 app is now ready for Download! We think you’ll like it, there are so many great things about the new version of your favorite comic reader app that we had to make a list. Here it is, let us know what you think:

NOTE: This is a major update to the Comics by comiXology app and will require a re-download of your content. Updates to this version of the app will not require another re-download of your content.

- On-demand store, so launching is nearly instant
- New featured pages for genres, creators, series, story arcs and more!
- Stable on older devices running iOS 4.0

I completely agree with you. I can set up my new idea from this post. It gives in depth information. Thanks for this valuable information for all. And of course nice review about the application.

Hi there! On the Featured tab, you can scroll all the way to the bottom and there is a new Free comics button. That should help you guys out. Thanks!

Blamefulgecko says:

Anyone know how to search for the free comics? My wife tends to read preview comics and random free stuff till she finds a series that she wants and we haven’t figure out where the free section has gone to!

Just keep writing this kind of posts. The time which was wasted in traveling for tuition now it can be used for studies. Thanks

Can the Android version get some love?

csierra says:

Still no word on the Android version…?

Yeah, like the look of the interface but its telling me that I need to connect to WiFi or cellular data network – even though I’m on a 3G full-bar cellular reception.

Not too stoked about having to download everything again.

Can’t find the “New “collections” organization to easily find collections” part, anyone?

Bitpicnic says:

Huge improvement, am quite pleased with this.

Would be nice with some info about the Android phone/tab version.

iPad version needs improvement

Can Marvel comics originally purchsaed/downloaded in the Marvel app be redownloaded here for no cost? All of your other third-party apps have this feature, but my purchased Marvel comics aren’t showing up in the main software as purchased.

It should read

I totally can’t understand why they do _not_ deliver a tested app with all features included.

Typing on the iPad with foreign Auto-spellchecking is also a pain.

Knut says:

I am reloading since 36 hours and have 150 out of 500+ loaded yet. Did I mention “Download Error” yet?
The app even chrashes from the feedback form.

“it will get better, new app is coming etc.pp.” is what they tell us for months. I totally can’t understand why they do deliver a tested app with all features included. It is a laugh that it is neither possible to mark comics as readed or to mark them “New” again in My Comics. 500+ Comics in purchses is just a pain to organize and the app is still not able to sort 1, 2, …, 10, 11 … Instead of 1, 11, 12, …, 2, 20 … I have organized my digital stuff in Excel additionaly but I shouldn’t be needed.

Did I mention all my Ratings are gone?

I think about going back to Print or PDF, this is not the iPad “Killer App” for comics I have hoped.

qetzaq says:

Feedback form is at the bottom of the Featured page.

I thought too that the downloads are taking longer. Could it be the massive server load right now? -everyone’s re-downloading their comics.

Better sorting in purchase area will surely come. Until then you can use the search option and use download all. And with the new background downloading you can do something else in the meantime.

MrGutts says:

Ipad is not great.

Slower downloads, worse than the old app.
No more feedback button, so you have to come here to communicate.
Purchase area has no sorting or organization what so ever, so if you own a bunch of comics you have to scroll trough all of them.

Stopped using after it took about 5min to download one comic.

Happy with my experience on the iPhone.

Android? When????
