I don’t think that is 100% right.  Some of the marvel apps sync across, but not all.  If you buy on an IoS, it will sync to android and the chrome app, but it doesn’t go the other way.  So if you have an IoS device you like to use, you need to buy it on that.

Also, I have purchased on the straight Comixology, and those issues don’t show in the Marvel branded app, nor vice versa.

This would definitely open up more markets for them. Being device compliant is becoming more and more important every day.

Does this mean all Marvel purchases will be synced to both the Marvel app and the Comics app?  My past purchases from my Cr-48 and IOS app show up perfectly in the Android app, but only a select few of those make it into my Comics app and to https://comics.comixology.com/#/my_comics

I suspect this is by design.  Either way, I am pleased to see Marvel on Android.  Thank you both Marvel and Comixology!  :)
